Media Power Youth Professional Development Programs

Media Power Youth offers a range of professional development trainings and workshops often in partnership with a school and or/youth-serving organization. Sessions are often customized to address the unique needs of a host organization. Topics have included media and mental health, media/news literacy, digital citizenship, influence of media on substance use, inspiring remote learners, youth media culture, using media in the classroom, cyberbullying and school climate, and building social-emotional skills. We also host educator workshops on our curricula and facilitate staff work sessions to address issues related to media and technology use.

These programs are available to educators and youth-serving professionals working with pre-K and K-12 students at various locations across the city. To see our current professional development offerings, visit our events page.

Basic Needs

Basic needs are defined as something that we must have in order to live. Recognizing that our students cannot thrive when they may be worried about basic necessities, this section provides resources across the community where essential services and supports can be found.
