Media Power Youth Out-Of-School Programming

Media Power Youth provides a wide variety of youth programs during afterschool, summer, and vacation weeks through local youth serving organizations. We work collaboratively with these organizations to create custom programming that fits the needs of their youth. These programs are designed to help students build 21st century skills including critical-thinking, self-regulation, social awareness, and empathic communication by engaging students in the media that shape our world. Topics include digital citizenship, media and mental health, news literacy, managing screentime, leadership & advocacy, music analysis, and film. Media is constantly evolving and we regularly update our programs to address this dynamic landscape. Many of our programs feature media creation elements that help students learn new technology skills and find their own voice advocating for themselves and the people they care about.

Programming is available at various locations, please contact us for more information.

Basic Needs

Basic needs are defined as something that we must have in order to live. Recognizing that our students cannot thrive when they may be worried about basic necessities, this section provides resources across the community where essential services and supports can be found.

Early Childhood

Early childhood education not only prepares our youngest students to be in school, but also supports the development of a child’s social and emotional skills.
